Julie's Doors
A home-schooling mother had a problem during the COVID-19 pandemic. That was, how to keep young children focused on schoolwork while the whole family is home.
Klavohn Carpentry's solution was to design, build, and install a custom set of doors. And, since the installation was in a front room off the foyer, the style, materials, and build quality had to be exceptional. That's what we do. Julie's doors feature solid Sapele construction and a modernized Arts & Crafts style with light green windows, a perfect style complement to her modern bungalow. |
Decorating Daughters
A lovely family had two daughters stuck at home during the COVID-19 pandemic with nothing to do. The parents thought a decorating project would give them a nice family project.
Klavohn Carpentry designed, built, and installed a built-in cabinet and bookshelf into an alcove next to their fireplace. The shelves gave the daughters a nice project to decorate and dad got a new cabinet for his stereo. |
Stephanie's Guest Suite
Her guests needed a little privacy. But, she didn't want to lose the open feeling of her basement guest suite. The challenge with this project required a bit of engineering as the four barn doors needed an integrated movement. That's no small task.
The solution featured an integrated track and sled system custom engineered and manufactured at Klavohn Studios. Klavohn Carpentry designed, built, and installed a custom set of cherry barn doors. The integrated motion is now a proprietary and original innovation of Klavohn Carpentry. Now, that's a perfect solution for an engineering family. |

Custom Millwork
A family needed an updated look for their traditional home in Buckhead. Our solution was to tear out the outdated wainscoting to be replaced with shiplap. It is the perfect look to complement their casual living style with a beachy feel.
But, to take the project to the next level, Klavohn Carpentry designed and milled a custom chair rail to match the sharp, clean edges of the shiplap. That's a perfect fit! |
One For The Movies
Before Klavohn Carpentry, there was just a dad and two sons that wanted to learn how to sail. So, we built our own wooden boat in our garage. Go big or go home is a Klavohn family motto.
Blue Finn set sail in the Gulf of Mexico and immediately caught the eye of the historical prop department at CBS/Netflix who purchased the boat. It is now a prop used for the movie industry. Blue Finn made its debut in the 2019 season of Dynasty. Somewhere, in the hidden part of the artist's mind Blue Finn II lies awaiting its birth to once again sail forbidden seas and land on barbarous coasts. |
