Need plans? We can make them for you.
We are happy to make designs from any starting point. Sometimes clients come to us knowing exactly what they want, and that's wonderful. Maybe they have pictures found online, or maybe they even have drafts previously commissioned from an interior designer. Alternatively, clients may be coming to us knowing that you want something, but don't know what exactly will fit a certain area of a house. That's okay, too. We offer full comprehensive design services combining the best of old-school and new school drafting methods.
Sketches
The first phase of our designs are rough sketches based on your description of what you might want and pictures you share with us. In this phase, we quickly blow through lots of ideas to hone in on the overall form of the product. For simple projects like bookcases or built-in cabinets where most dimensions are standardized, this is often sufficient to work as a full design for the project. More complex projects will require additional, more detailed phases of design.
Drawings
For projects with an estimated cost of over $5,000, we move from your favorite sketch to detailed drawings. Here, we hone in on the specifics and work to get the specifications exactly right for your project. These are 2D drafts drawn to-scale with accurate dimensions. Sometimes we will also include 3D perspective drawings if needed to understand the orientation of the design in space.
cad
For projects with an estimated cost of over $10,000, we use CAD instead of drawings. The kinds of projects that benefit from computer-generated graphics tend to be more complicated and/or span multiple walls. The provided designs will include both 2D projections and 3D. Once again, all designs are to-scale with accurate dimensions.
With CAD, the first draft takes longer to procure, but revisions are far quicker to implement. For large projects that require lots of edits, CAD ensures our design phase proceeds quickly so we can move on to building and complete your project in a timely fashion.
